free ways to re-decorate my room?

my room is currently like blues/greens beach theme and I want it to be more mellow and eco-chic.
I have a pretty quilt and pillows and stuff but what else can I do?
I have bare walls painted a beach blue color and I can’t really spend anymore money.
how can I organize my magazines/makeup/books/school stuff all for free and in innovative ways?

You could start collecting things that interest you when you have enough items make a collage board, or wall hanging.
For your mags,books, school stuff. you can use various size of empty Serial boxes. cut them to the shape and size to accomodate books cds videos make up etc. Glue some together at varying heights.
Look for wrapping paper sheets that you feel identifies you. colours and designes etc. then cover the boxes with the wrapping paper. its a cheap way of getting modern up to date paper.Or ask for wallpaper samples at your local shop.
If you prefer you can use fabric from old clothes you no longer ware, or go to the local charity shop and pick out interesting clothing items for a few pence. Ask relatives or friends to have a clear out and give you unwanted items.
better still church bazar or jumble sales always cheap bargains.
You could look up how to make a rag rug and use up all old scraps of cloth. with bright colours.
you could put them in your closet stack it neatly and put some things in your bathroom
